DOVER, DELAWARE (12/5/2014) An armed robber wearing a plastic yellow grocery bag over his head made off with cash from a Valero gas station and convenience store on U.S. 13, Dover police said.
The crime happened about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at 530 N. DuPont Highway.
The robber was a man “brandishing what the victim believes to be a deadly weapon and demanded money,” Cpl. Mark Hoffman said.
The clerk opened the the register and the robber grabbed an undisclosed amount of money and fled.
The bandit was described as heavyset, wearing a jacket, tan pants, black boots and blue rubber gloves.
