NEW CASTLE, DELAWARE (11/27/2014) An 18-year-old man shot in New Castle on Wednesday has died, city police report.
The shooting happened about 1:20 p.m. in the 100 block of W. Ninth St.
Lt. Adam Brams said the victim died after being taken to Christiana Hospital by ambulance.
Brams said police are in the process of notifying next-of-kin and the victim’s name will be released later.
Several several streets in the area of Ninth and Young streets were closed as police investigated. New Castle County police also were on the scene.
