Man shot multiple times in Glasgow

GLASGOW, DELAWARE (11/27/2014) A 40-year-old man was shot multiple times Wednesday night at the Bristol Place townhomes  in Glasgow, paramedics reported.

The incident happened about 7:20 p.m. in the first block of N. Bellwoode Drive, off U.S. 40.

When New Castle County paramedics arrived, spokesman Sgt. Michael McColley said, the victim was in cardiac arrest. Paramedics and medics from Christiana Fire Company attempted resuscitation and rushed him to Christiana Hospital.

New Castle County police are investigating the shooting. Police said the man was found lying on the ground when officers arrived. They asked anyone with information to call 302-573-2800

According to early reports from the scene, the man was shot in the temple, a leg and twice in the shoulder.

Police kept the entrance to the neighborhood closed while they investigated.

McColley said this was the fourth shooting paramedics responded to in just over 24 hours.
