NEWARK, DELAWARE (11/25/2014) The Newark police and fire departments and the Marine Corps Reserve are teaming up for this season’s Toys for Tots campaign.
New, unwrapped toys for children up to 12 years of age are being collected in a donation barrel in the lobby of the police department, 220 S. Main St., until Dec. 12.
On Thursday, Dec. 18, Santa Clause and Newark officers, aboard a firetruck from Aetna Hose Hook & Ladder Company, will deliver the gifts to deserving children in several city neighborhoods, police said.
