Gold Club employee robbed at gunpoint

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (11/25/2014) A Newark man was robbed at gunpoint as he was leaving a gentleman’s club where he works just south of Wilmington, state police reported.

The robbery happened about 2:45 a.m. Monday at The Gold Club, 1031 S. Market St.

The 33-year-old victim was walking to his vehicle when he saw someone strike the windshield of his vehicle with an unknown object.

The victim confronted the person, who then wielded a handgun and demanded money from the employee, who turned over an undisclosed amount.

The robber then fled toward the Fairview Motel, just north of the club.

The robber was described as male, 5-feet-8 to 6-feet, with a thin build. He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and dark shorts.
