WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (4/7/2015) A 31-year-old man was in critical but stable condition after he was shot multiple times late Monday night, Wilmington police said this morning.

The shooting happened about 11:45 p.m. in the 700 block of Townsend Place, off U.S. 13 (South Heald Street).

The victim was seated in a vehicle when someone approached and opened fire, police said.

He was treated at the scene by New Castle County paramedics and taken to Christiana Hospital.
