DELAWARE (1/30/2015) Wind gusts may reach 50 mph today as an arctic blast moves into the area.
The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory from 4 p.m. today until 6 a.m. Saturday, predicting sustained winds of 20-30 mph from the northwest with the higher gusts.
Tree and power line damage is possible, the service said.
Today’s high temperature is expected to be about 35 degrees upstate and near 40 downstate. Tonight’s temperature will drop to about 10 upstate and 15 downstate. Wind chills may be below zero.
Blustery winds will continue Saturday, with gusts above 40 mph predicted.
