DELAWARE (1/5/2015) Snowfall is expected to begin around daybreak Tuesday and drop 1 to 2 inches across the state as bitter cold arrives, the National Weather Service says.
A winter weather advisory was issued from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday for Delaware and nearby areas, although the heaviest accumulating snow is expected during the morning commute.
With temperatures in the 20s predicted, slippery roadways and generally hazardous travel conditions are likely.
Snow is expected to accumulate on untreated roadways and sidewalks.
Wind will be 5 to 10 mph.
The temperature is expected to drop into single digits in northern Delaware by Wednesday night, and into the low teens in southern Delaware.
