2 sought in armed robbery at Family Dollar store

FREDERICA, DELAWARE (1/17/2017) Two masked robbers with guns escaped with cash from the Family Dollar store in Frederica, the Delaware State Police said this morning.

The robbery happened about 9 p.m. at 126 Front St.

One robber carried a handgun and the other a shotgun when they demanded cash from two store employees.

They turned over an undisclosed amount of money and the robbers then fled in an unknown direction.

The clerks were not hurt, police said.

Both robbers were described as black males wearing black clothing.
