EDGEMOOR, DELAWARE (5/2/2016) Two people were shot early today in the Edgemoor Gardens community, New Castle County police said.
The incident happened about 4:45 a.m., with multiple reports of shots being fired.
Police found evidence of the shooting in the area of Rysing and Pennewell drives.
Two victims, both in their late 20s, had been taken by private vehicle to Wilmington Hospital before officers arrived at the shooting scene, Cpl. Tom Jackson said.
One victim was transferred to Christiana Hospital in Stanton, he said, but injuries to both were not considered life-threatening and were in stable condition.
He asked anyone with information on the shooting to call police at 302-573-2800.
