MILFORD, DELAWARE (12/19/2014) A 21-year-old Milford man has been charged with forcing his way into a home and choking a woman in a domestic incident, city police said Thursday.

Dasmen Fullman surrendered Tuesday in connection with the incident police say happened about 2:20 p.m. Sunday at a home in the first block of Delaware Avenue. He was charged with burglary, strangulation, assault, endangering the welfare of a child and malicious interference with emergency communications.

After Fullman forced his way in, according to police, he argued with a 21-year-old woman, pushed her against a wall and began to strangle her.

She was holding a phone and attempting to call police when Fullman took it from her, police said.

The woman broke free, took her 5-month-old child and fled to seek help.

Police said Fullman fled before they arrived.

The woman suffered minor injuries to her neck but didn’t require medical treatment, police said.

Fullman was released on $9,500 unsecured bond, Detective Dwight Young said.
