UPDATED STORY: Restaurant reopened after fire cleanup
MILFORD, DELAWARE (11/20/2015) A fire early today has temporarily closed Abbott’s Grill in Milford.
Carlisle Fire Company responded to the fire at 249 NE Front St. at 1:12 a.m. The restaurant is located in the Riverwalk Center at Milford shopping plaza.
The fire “has done some minor damage to our establishment. No one was injured & the fire was caught early enough to prevent major damage and for that, we are grateful,” the restaurant announced this evening in an email to customers.
“We are working around the clock to open back up ASAP,” the statement said.
In another statement on it’s Facebook page, the restaurant said the damage had left the restaurant without power and they hoped to reopen Saturday.
The company’s sister restaurant, Abbott’s on Broad Creek, remains open at 300 Delaware Ave. in Laurel.
