CHRISTIANA, DELAWARE (10/4/2015) A 26-year-old Wilmington man on probation was arrested after Delaware State Police seized 2 pounds of marijuana after stopping a car for driving erratically, authorities said Saturday.

The arrest by troopers and probation officers in the New Castle County Governor’s Task Force happened about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday on Route 273 just east of Old Baltimore Pike.

The driver, Russell S. Monroe, has a mandatory curfew of 10 p.m. because he is on probation, police said.

A search of the Lincoln MKZ allegedly found the drugs and $5,479 in suspected drug sale proceeds, and Monroe was charged with possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 1 quantity.

He was being held at Young Correctional Institution in Wilmington in lieu of $10,000 secured bail.
