NEW CASTLE, DELAWARE (11/17/2014) New Castle County police are collecting coats and canned food to help the needy as holidays approach.
Coats for children and adults are being accepted. Coats, which should be new or clean lightly used, will go to the Sunday Breakfast Mission in Wilmington.
Canned goods will be turned over to the Food Bank of Delaware.
Items may be dropped off at the Sweeney Public Safety Building, 3601 N. DuPont Highway, New Castle, through Dec. 11.
