25-year-old man struck by car dies

NEW CASTLE, DELAWARE (12/22/2017) A 25-year-old man was struck by a car near New Castle this morning and later died of his injuries, New Castle County police said.

The pedestrian crash happened about 6:45 a.m. on Frenchtown Road (Route 273) near Centerpoint Boulevard.

The man hit was taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital in Stanton.

The 62-year-old man driving the car wasn’t injured.

Police did not release their names.
