2 injured in Wilmington shootings

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (11/7/2017) A teenager and a man were taken to hospitals after gunfire erupted on Monday, Wilmington police said.

The shootings happened about 6 p.m., when a SpotShotter alert sent officers to the 2400 block of N. Market St.

A 16-year-old boy suffered a gunshot wound to his right shoulder. He was found in the 100 block of E. 24th St. and treated by New Castle County paramedics, then taken to Christiana Hospital in Stanton in stable condition.

The other victim, a 48-year-old man, was found on a porch in the same block with a wound to his left thigh. He also was treated by paramedics, then taken to St. Francis Hospital in stable condition.
