DOVER, DELAWARE (11/6/2017) Gunfire struck a vehicle on U.S. 13 (North DuPont Highway) at the main entrance to Delaware State University, the Dover police said.
The shooting happened about 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
A 29-year-old was driving with a 17-year-old passenger in the right southbound lane when an occupant of a black, four-door vehicle in the center lane began shooting.
The gunshots struck the vehicle three times and the 29-year-old swerved, striking a pedestrian traffic signal at the intersection, police said.
No injuries were reported and police had no suspect information.
