ELSMERE, DELAWARE (6/27/2017) A 20-year-old man was wounded in a shooting at the Mill Creek Village Apartments south of Elsmere, the New Castle County police said today.
The shooting happened about 11:05 p.m. Monday in the first block of Scarborough Park Drive.
Police found the victim inside an apartment.
He was treated at the scene and taken by ambulance to an area hospital, where he remains in stable condition, police said.
The incident happened as another occupant of the apartment attempted to leave, and two men in their 20s, one armed with a handgun, forced their way inside, police said.
