ODESSA, DELAWARE (9/29/2016) A drive was trapped in a car after it struck a telephone pole near Odessa today, authorities said.
The crash happened about 5:15 p.m. in the 500 block of Old State Road.
The driver was treated for a head injury and taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital in Stanton in serious but stable condition, said Cpl. David J. McKinney Jr. of New Castle County paramedics.
Odessa and Townsend fire companies responded.
Delaware State Police are investigating the crash.
