NEW CASTLE, DELAWARE (9/8/2016) One man was shot and another beaten during a home invasion in the Chelsea Estates neighborhood near New Castle early today, according to reports from the scene.
It happened about 2:45 a.m. at 16 Morris Road.
A 28-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the chest.
He was taken to Christiana Hospital in Stanton in critical condition.
The other man, 23 years old, suffered injuries to his face, New Castle County police said.
