FELTON, DELAWARE (6/15/2016) A 15-year-old girl was wounded by gunfire during a party west of Felton early today, Delaware State Police said.
The shooting was reported at 3:19 a.m. at a home in the first block of Weatherstone Lane.
Police said an argument outside the home escalated into a fight and shots were fired that struck the teenager, who was not believed to be the intended target.
She was taken by private vehicle to the Frederica Volunteer Fire Company with a wound to the upper torso, then taken by ambulance to a local hospital. Police said she was in stable condition.
The suspect was described as a skinny black male 17-20 years old, 5-feet-8 to 5-feet-10 and wearing a white t-shirt.
