MILFORD, DELAWARE (6/2/2016) A Milford man has been arrested in connection with a domestic assault last month, city police reported this morning.

Willie Boyette Jr. was charged with strangulation, second-degree assault and first-degree unlawful imprisonment.

“Boyette came home from work and advised the 34-year-old female victim that he had a bad day at work and was still angry,” Sgt. Dwight Young said. “Boyette then began punching the female victim all over her entire body, ripped her clothing off and would not allow the female victim to leave the residence.”

He then began choking the woman, Young said. She suffered multiple bruises on her torso, face and extremitites.

The incident happened May 12 in the first block of S. Washington St. and Boyette was arrested May 23. He was being held at Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $25,000 secured bond.
