2 injured in U.S. 40 motorcycle crash

NEW CASTLE, DELAWARE (5/27/2016) Two people were injured in a motorcycle crash west of New Castle, authorities said this morning.

The crash happened about 9:10 p.m. Thursday in the 700 block of Pulaski Highway (U.S. 40).

A 20-year-old man was treated at the scene for upper and lower extremity injuries, said Cpl. David J. McKinney Jr. of New Castle County paramedics.

A 20-year-old woman was treated for pain across her body.

Both were taken by Christiana Fire Company ambulance to Christiana Hospital in Stanton in stable condition.

The crash is under investigation by Delaware State Police.
