CAPE HENLOPEN, DELAWARE (5/25/2016) The fishing pier at Cape Henlopen State Park will reopen today following months of being closed for repairs.
Gov. Jack Markell and other local, state and federal officials will mark the opening at a 10 a.m. ceremony on the 1,300-foot pier.
The pier on the Delaware Bay was built by the Army for mining operations in World War II and has undergone numerous repairs in recent years.
The latest project began in January and involved replacement of decking.
