WOODSIDE, DELAWARE (4/17/2016) One person was killed and two others injured this afternoon when two cars collided nearly head-on west of Woodside, the Delaware State Police said.
The crash happened about 1:30 p.m. on Willow Grove Road (Route 10) just west of Farm Lane.
Kassia J. Pulley, 41, of Chester, Maryland, was driving a 2011 Honda Accord eastbound when a westbound 2014 Toyota Corolla crossed into her lane, police said. The impact spun both vehicles, with the Corolla stopping in the middle of the road and the Accord traveling off the south side into a ditch.
Pulley, who police said was wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in the Accord, Ambrose D. Robinson, 39, of Chester, Maryland, was taken by ambulance to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital in Dover, where he was admitted with injuries that police said were not life-threatening. Police said he wasn’t wearing a seat belt.
The driver of the Corolla, Nathaniel J. Plass, 62, of Felton, was taken by state police helicopter to Christiana Hospital in Stanton. He was admitted with injuries police said were not life-threatening. Plass was wearing a seat belt.
Route 10 was closed in the area about 2½ hours as police investigated and the wreckage was cleared.
