MILTON, DELAWARE (4/6/2016) A 30-year-old man struck by a car south of Milton was in critical condition, the Delaware State Police said this morning.
The accident was reported at 9:37 p.m. Tuesday on Gravel Hill Road (Route 30) south of Sand Hill Road.
Aaron M. Patrycia, of Georgetown, was walking in the southbound lane for unknwon reasons, police said, when he was struck by a southbound 2005 Honda Accord.
Patrycia was first taken to Beebe Healthcare’s hospital in Lewes, then flown to Christiana Hospital in Stanton.
Police said the area has no lighting and Patrycia was not carrying a light as required by law.
The driver of the car, Robert Gedeon, 46, of Lincoln, was wearing a seat belt and wasn’t hurt, police said.
The road was closed about three hours as police investigated.
