CHRISTIANA, DELAWARE (12/21/2015) A man sought in a Citizens Bank robbery may be the same person who robbed a Wells Fargo Bank in the New Castle area, Delaware State Police said this morning.
The latest robbery happened about 1:05 p.m. Thursday at the Citizens Bank branch inside the Acme supermarket in the University Plaza shopping center.
The man handed a demand note to the teller implying he was armed. The teller turned over cash and the robber fled. No weapon was shown.
The Wells Fargo robbery at 1424 N. DuPont Highway happened about 3:20 p.m. on Tuesday in a similar way.
The robber was described as white, about 40-50 years old, 5-feet-6, weighing 160-180 pounds and with gray hair. He was wearing a gray and black sweat jacket with a black T-shirt underneath, gray pants, white sneakers and glasses.
