PIKE CREEK, DELAWARE (12/11/2015) A bank teller and her fiancé have been arrested in the robbery of a Wells Fargo branch last month, Delaware State Police said this morning.

The teller, Christina Johnson, 26, and Toron O. Crocker, 30, both of New Castle, staged the bank robbery just after 3 p.m. on Nov. 23 at 2624 Capitol Trail, police said.

The teller had told troopers at the time that a man approached her and demanded money from the cash drawer, although no weapon was shown or implied. Police said she turned over cash.

Police said they were able to link a vehicle used during the robbery to Crocker and learned of his relationship to Johnson. A search of their home found evidence linking them to the robbery, police said.

Both were charged with felony theft and second-degree conspiracy. Johnson also was charged with hindering prosecution and providing a false statement to law enforcement.

Crocker was being held at Young Correctional Institution in lieu of $4,000 secured bail.

Johnson was released on $4,000 unsecured bond.

Police are still investigating the incident and asked anyone with information to contact Detective J. Paul Doherty at 302-365-8438.
