NEWARK, DELAWARE (12/7/2015) Five people were injured in an SUV rollover crash Sunday night on Interstate 95 near Newark, authorities said.
The accident happened shortly after 7 p.m. in the northbound lanes near the Otts Chapel Road overpass.
Paramedics treated two 24-year-old women, one with possible arm and leg fractures and the other with back, neck and facial injuries. They were taken by Aetna Hose, Hook & Ladder Company ambulance to Christiana Hospital in Stanton. Both were in stable condition, said Sgt. Michael A. McColley of New Castle County paramedics.
Three other occupants of the small SUV were also taken to the hospital by ambulance with injuries not considered life-threatening, McColley said.
The crash is under investigation by Delaware State Police.
