MILFORD, DELAWARE (12/3/2015) A 49-year-old Milford man was charged with unlawful imprisonment for locking an elderly woman in a bedroom, city police said this morning.
Charles W. Robinson was arrested Thursday at a home in the 600 block of Lakelawn Drive.
The victim had been freed from the bedroom by someone else in the home who then called police, Cpl. Robert W. Masten said.
Robinson locked the woman in the room “knowing the victim was not capable of unlocking the door,” Masten said.
While in custody, Masten said, Robinson damaged a portion of the holding area at the police department. He also was charged with criminal mischief.
Robinson was being held at Sussex Correctional Institution near Georgetown in lieu of $3,000 cash bail.
