WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (12/2/2015) Fire broke out in a Wilmington church this morning, according to reports from the scene.
The blaze was reported shortly after 7 a.m. at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church at 601 Vandever Ave.
Wilmington firefighters arrived to find heavy flames in the basement and extending to the first floor.
It took firefighters about 40 minutes to control the blaze.
The city Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
No injuries were reported.
