Victim, suspect identified in Bear homicide

BEAR, DELAWARE (11/27/2015) A homicide victim was found at a car wash on U.S. 40 in Bear this morning, Delaware State Police said.

The victim was found seated in the driver’s seat of a vehicle at the rear parking lot of the American Car Wash and was suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body when police arrived about 8:40 a.m.

The man was identified as Aloysisus Taylor, 41, of Wilmington. He was treated by New Castle County paramedics and taken to Christiana Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy was planned.

Police said he was approached by Bobby L. Taylor, 32, of New Castle, who fired one shot  through the open vehicle window, striking him in the torso. Bobby Taylor then fled on foot.

Both Taylors worked at the car wash but are not related, police said.

Detectives have warrants charging Bobby Taylor with Murder 1st Degree, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony, and Possession of a Firearm by a Person Previously Convicted of a Felony.

He is described as being 5’09” tall, 160 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.
