2 injured in ambulance, SUV crash

NEWPORT, DELAWARE (11/25/2015) Two people were injured when a Belvedere Fire Company ambulance and an SUV collided north of Newport this morning, according to reports from the scene.

The crash happened about 7 a.m. at Boxwood and Centerville roads.

The ambulance was responding to a call at the time.

One person was injured in each vehicle.

Debris on the road was delaying traffic.

Belvedere Fire Company responded as well as Minquas and Hockessin fire company ambulances.

Delaware State Police are investigating the crash.
