DOVER, DELAWARE (11/24/2015) A gunman escaped with the cash drawer containing money from the Red Roof Inn, city police said Monday.
The robbery at 652 N. DuPont Highway (U.S. 13) happened about 2:35 a.m. Sunday, Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said.
The robber with a small handgun demanded money from the clerk and fled with the drawer, which was later found in front of a nearby business just south of the hotel, Hoffman said.
The robber was described as a black male, about 5-feet-11 and 215-230 pounds. He was wearing a black coat and pants, black face mask and latex gloves.
