Exxon gas station robbed on U.S. 13

LAUREL, DELAWARE (11/21/2015) A man robbed an Exxon gas station on U.S. 13 near Laurel on Friday night, Delaware State Police said this morning.

The crime happened about 8:10 p.m. at 30341 Sussex Highway (U.S. 13), at the U.S. 9 intersection.

The robber demanded cash from the register and a clerk handed over money from the register. The robber then fled out the front door and left in an unknown vehicle. No weapon was seen.

The clerk was not hurt.

The robber was described as 20-27 years old, 5-feet-10 to 6 feet tall and weighing 200-230 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the words “Delaware Tech” on the front
