MILFORD, DELAWARE (11/19/2015) A 38-year-old Milford woman has been charged with stealing an elderly woman’s credit card and using it to to shop and buy food at restaurants, city police reported today.
Tara E. Faulkner was charged with felony theft under $1,500 with a victim 62 years or older and five counts of felony unlawful use of a payment card under $1,500 with victim 62 years or older.
Detective Dwight Young said the victim was shopping at the Goodwill store off U.S. 113 on Oct. 12 when Faulkner stole her wallet.
Faulkner then used the card during the rest of October for things including renting movies and buying prescription drugs for herself from a local pharmacy.
Faulkner was being held at Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution near New Castle in lieu of $9,000 secured bond.
