MILLTOWN, DELAWARE (11/4/2015) Two teenagers were arrested after a gun was pointed during a fight at Dickinson High School, the Delaware State Police reported Tuesday.
The incident at 1801 Milltown Road happened about 8 p.m. Thursday.
Police said Joan A. Ayon, 17, and Luis D. Alvarado, 15, both of Newark, went to the school to confront an 18-year-old man who is a student.
Ayon punched the man in the face and the pair began to fight and fell to the ground, police said.
As the man began to stand up, police said, Alvarado handed Ayon a handgun which Ayon then pointed at the man.
A bystander then pulled Ayon away as the victim’s father stood between his son and Ayon. Police said Ayon and Alvarado then fled in a pickup truck.
They were arrested Friday and both were charged with three counts of first-degree reckless endangering, possession of a deadly weapon during commission of a felony and second-degree conspiracy,
Alvarado also was charged with tampering with evidence. He was released on $18,000 unsecured bail.
Ayon also was charged with two counts of terroristic threatening and offensive touching. He was released on $19,250 unsecured bail.
Police said no one was injured in the fight.
