DOVER, DELAWARE (11/2/2015) A 36-year-old Middletown man was shot to death on a Dover street late Sunday night, city police reported this morning.
The shooting happened shortly after 11 p.m. in the first block of S. New St.
When police arrived on a report of shots fired they found Sylvester Williams with a gunshot wound to his torso.
Williams was taken by ambulance to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital where he died from his injuries, Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said.
This was Dover’s seventh homicide of the year.
Hoffman said the investigation is ongoing and asked anyone with information to call police at 302-736-7111.
