CLAYTON, DELAWARE (11/1/2015) A 29-year-old man was critically injured early today in a crash west of Clayton, Delaware State Police said.

The crash happened about 4:15 a.m. as Jesus Manuel Ayala-Rivera, of Clayton, was driving a 1997 Toyota Tercel westbound on Holletts Corner Road approaching Walnut Tree Road. As the Toyota entered the sharp left curve, police said, Ayala-Rivera lost control of the car and slif off the west side of the roadway into a ditch. The car overturned, possibly ejecting him.

Alcohol and speed may be contributing factors in the accident, police said.
