CANTERBURY, DELAWARE (10/22/2015) A Seaford man was injured when his dump truck overturned on U.S. 13 in Canterbury, spilling a load of gravel, Delaware State Police said.

The accident was reported at 8:12 a.m. in the northbound lanes just south of Irish Hill Road.

Joshua F. Lineweaver, 27, was driving a 1985 Ford dump truck in the left lane when it swerved across the right lane and off the highway into a field.

Lineweaver, who police said was not wearing a seat belt, was temporarily trapped in the cab of the truck. Once he was freed, he was taken by ambulance to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital. Police said his injuries were not life-threatening.

He was cited by police for failure to remain within a single lane.

Delaware Department of Transportation and Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control were on the scene to deal with cleanup from a fuel spill as well as removal of the gravel and truck.
