GEORGETOWN, DELAWARE (10/6/2015) Delaware State Police have released the name of a Millsboro man killed in a crash Monday north of Georgetown.
The crash happened about 9 p.m.at Downs and Wilson roads.
Police said Joshua T. Fleming, 37, was extensively trapped in the truck and pronounced dead at the scene.
He was driving a 1995 Ford F-150 pickup truck southbound on Downs and failed to stop at the stop sign at Wilson Road, police said, and collided with a westbound truck that had the right-of-way and no stop sign.
The driver of the other truck, a 2011 International truck tractor with no trailer attached, was identified as John M. Clayville, 45, of Milford. He was driving a truck owned by Perdue, police said.
Clayville’s vehicle struck the driver’s side of the pickup, with both vehicles traveling off the southwest corner of the intersection into numerous small pine trees.
Clayville was taken by ambulance to Bayhealth Milford Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released.
Police said both driver’s were wearing seat belts.
Wilson Road was closed at Downs Road about 3½ hours as police investigated and the wreckage was cleared.
