Woman, 75, robbed in Dover store parking lot

DOVER, DELAWARE (10/4/2015) A 75-year-old woman was robbed in the parking lot of the A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts store in Dover on Saturday, city police reported today.

The robbery at 277 N. DuPont Highway happened about 1:45 p.m.

The victim was walking from the parking lot into the store when a man in his late teens or early 20s approached from the White Oak Condos area next door and forcibly took her purse from her hands, Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said.

The robber fled toward White Oak Road. The woman was not injured.

He was described as black and with short build, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

Hoffman asked anyone with information to call police at 302-736-7111.
