MIAMI (10/2/2015) The latest projections for Hurricane Joaquin show its projected path far to the east of the Delaware coast when it passes by early next week, according to the National Hurricane Center.

At 8 a.m. today, Joaquin was continuing to batter the central Bahamas with maximum sustained winds of 130 mph.

While Joaquin is expected to pass by hundreds of miles offshore, strong onshore winds and very heavy rain from a nor’easter are expected to produce coastal and inland flooding in the mid-Atlantic area through the weekend.
