Business owner robbed on Philadelphia Pike

PENNY HILL, DELAWARE (9/6/2015) Two men robbed the owner of a rental property business, the Delaware State Police reported today.

The robbery of AI Enterprise at 234 Philadelphia Pike, Suite 10, happened about 2:20 p.m. Friday as the woman was collecting payments for rental properties.

Two men entered the business and approached with a knife, demanding money.

The woman shouted for help and then was pushed back by one of the robbers, causing her chair to gall backwards.

The robber then rummaged through papers on her desk while the other man went through her purse but didn’t take anything, police said.

The first robber then grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash from the woman’s desk and the other man took her cellphone and the business phones. The pair fled south on Philadelphia Pike.

The woman was not injured, police said.

One robber was described as black with a large build and dark complexion. He was about 28-36 years old, 5-feet-10 and weighing 200-220 pounds. He was wearing a dark shirt and jeans.

The other was black, 28-34 years old, 5-feet-1 to 6-feet-2 tall, weighing 170-180 pounds. He was wearing a white T-shirt with jeans.

Police asked anyone with information to call troopers at 302-365-8566.
