EDGEMOOR, DELAWARE (8/25/2015) A 58-year-old man was injured when the pickup truck he was driving collided with a tank car on a train near the entrance to Fox Point State Park, authorities said.
The accident happened about 4:50 p.m. on Lighthouse Road east of Edgemoor Road.
The man was treated at the scene for a possible head injury by New Castle County paramedics and taken by Brandywine Hundred Fire Company ambulance to Christiana Hospital.
Sgt. Michael A. McColley, a spokesman for paramedics, said the driver was in stable condition.
Delaware State Police are investigating the crash.
