PORT PENN, DELAWARE (8/23/2015) A 72-year-old man was seriously injured Saturday night when his pickup crashed into a utility pole near Port Penn, authorities said today.
The crash was reported at 8:48 p.m. on Port Penn Road.
The driver was treated on the scene by New Castle County paramedics for multiple facial cuts and a broken leg, said paramedics Sgt. Michael A. McColley.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital.
In addition to Delaware State Police, the Port Penn and Odessa fire companies responded.
