NEW CASTLE, DELAWARE (7/11/2011) The death of a 19-year-old man in the Jefferson Farms neighborhood is being investigated by New Castle County police.
The man who died was identified as Kevin Ferguson, of the 1100 block of Chestnut St. in Wilmington.
County police were called to the first block of Montpelier Blvd. about 11:50 p.m. Thursday, Officer First Class Tracy Duffy said today.
She said New Castle City officers were first on the scene, which is outside of New Castle, and observed Ferguson being restrained by residents of the area.
Officers reported Ferguson was unresponsive by the time they arrived, Duffy said.
Ferguson was taken by Good Will Fire Company ambulance to Christiana Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
