WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (6/17/2015) A gasoline odor brought Wilmington firefighters to 310 N. Rodney St., where they found levels of carbon monoxide and traced the source to the home next door, authorities said.

The incident happened about 2:45 p.m. today.

Firefighters traced the source of the carbon monoxide to 308 N. Rodney St., where two people were doing renovations and using a gasoline powered generator in the basement, Battalion Chief James Jobes said.

They were ordered to stop using the generator, Jobes said.

Firefighters ventilated four properties and evaluated three adults and one juvenile but all of them, including a 95-year-old woman, declined treatment.

There were no fire department injuries and firefighters cleared the scene just after 4 p.m.
