23-year-old man shot in chest in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (6/2/2015) A 23-year-old man shot in the chest in Wilmington late Monday is in stable conditiion, city police reported this morning.

The shooting happened just after 11 p.m. in the 100 block of N. Broom St.

Police said there an altercation involving several people before the shooting, which is still under investigation.

The victim was treated at the scene by New Castle County paramedics and then taken by ambulance to Christiana Hospital.
