MILFORD, DELAWARE (4/22/2015) A 26-year-old Milford man has been charged with stealing a firearm from a home, city police reported Tuesday.
The burglary happened on the afternoon of April 14 in the 400 block of East St.
Matthew Gannon Jr. was charged with burglary, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, possession of firearm during commission of a felony, theft of a firearm, criminal mischief, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and a traffic offense.
Detective Dwight Young said a second victim reported Gannon had failed to return a borrowed car as agreed. Gannon was arrested in the vehicle by police in New Castle County.
He was being held at Sussex Correctional Institution near Georgetown in lieu of $21,000 secured bond.
